Mad Bull 34As of this moment it's unreleased on DVD in the US. Is only available on a hard to find VHS.

Let's keep it rollin', folks:  The movie Galaxy Investigation 2100: Border Planet from 1986 (or just 銀河探査 2100年 ボーダープラネット ) has some decent mechanized animations, especially if you're into motorbikes as you can watch in this short clip: What is still amazing me is the perfect usage of airbrush in some of the key scenes. (By the way: M.D. Geist with airbrush shades = TOTAL WIN.) |

 D-1 Devastator, a two part OVA from 1992, features robots and naked breasts, absolutely shocking with this kind of content it never got licensed by Central Park Media or Manga Video. STILL not subtitled. Here's the raws in Japanese for download to anybody brave enough to try and subtitle it. Looks interesting, thou. It has a very similar artwork style as in Guy: Double Target, so something you couldn't expect for the late 90's or, of course, today.
I'm going to watch both, then I tell y'all about my thoughts, right?

Discovered some new facts about Roots Search and found some new pictures... Apparently it had two titles when the Spanish dub was released on Betamax (and possibly VHS); "Alien: El Dibujo Animado" and "Criatura del Espacio." I might've found a copy for sale online, if I have, I'll definitely try to pick it up.    I also found a better picture of the Korean release, called "¿Ü°èÀο¢½º" which translates to "Alien X." Couldn't find any rips, copies, or even much information. Dunno if it's dubbed or subbed.  |

Probably to do with the font, either way, that's some good info for our original article! Especially the alternate title info, I am loving that. Wonder if there exists a Korean release of M.D. Geist at all, as I have the Korean writing for that.

Personally, I wonder if it's some sort of Joseph Lai-style job of cutting and pasting two different things together. However, it seems more likely it's just erronerous cover art, but we might not ever know for sure.
