The Laughing Target- ArtbookContains character designs, a film comics of the OVA, and art for the OVA. And probably more. Can't wait for it to arrive in the mail! OVA books like these are like holy grails. No kidding... some (like the artbook for The Humanoid) are easy enough to come by on Japanese sites like Yahoo!Auctions, but finding one that can be shipped to the US without using an expensive middle-man service is damn near impossible. Y'know... I've never seen an artbook for either Lily-C.A.T. or Roots Search. I like Lily-C.A.T. enough to buy an artbook of it, and I'm curious as to how Roots Search looked in its early stages of production. Surely Roots Search, which had a good story idea but horrible execution, couldn't have been that awful early on... right?

I'm hoping there is one one Lily C.A.T., as for Roots Search, I've only ever seen a landscape poster/flyer sheet that didn't seem too interested, it was mainly just a foldout printed purple with what appeared to be the story summarised on it. It had a picture of the odd, gasmask-shaped ship on it too, kinda hoping there is more to it. I'd like to try and find the elusive OST and discover these three songs that are apparently on it but are not in the OVA itself.

Just starting reading it, and it seems different from the anime (from what I remember) so far. Not that that's a bad thing, though. From what I remember I personally thought the anime looked very nice, but didn't have enough plot and tried to replace it with mindless action. Action is good... but it can't replace plot. Anyone know if Venus Wars II was ever compiled into a graphic novel? I know comics of the different chapters exist, but I haven't seen a Venus Wars II compilation book.

So here's my stuff: Weird enough the whole manga Akira series here is mirrored to look like a comic book. So in the end there are lots of lefthanders. lol

Say did you know that only 5 issues of Yoko Tsuno were translated into English? And that there are a lot more comic books of this awesome series printed in other languages? (Hehe, nice time to learn another language so, eh? )

How many pages does one of these issues approximately have? I hope not only 32 pages like in American comic books; I know that this stuff is Franco-Belgian.

Around 48-50 pages. And no ads, either.

The freshly scanned cover of my latest new addition to my manga collection. Maybe I'll be taking some pictures of my whole manga collection one day, maybe?

Peepo Choo Vol. 3. Peepo Choo is absolutely not only one of the best mangas I've read in years, it's also one of the most important series I've read. It's the Unforgiven of Japanese pop culture, and if that doesn't make any sense right now, it will once you read it, and you absolutely MUST read it.

I read a small preview of this series a couple of weeks ago, and I must admit it's really that good. I pre-order the first issues when there will be an actual release date here in Germany. Felipe is a great example for non-Japanese artists, that truly deserve to be called "mangaka" in my eyes, do you think so too, my friend?

I think Colonydrop said it best in their review of Peepo Choo volume 1: And I would highly suggest you try to get the English version, as all the text is by Felipe Smith, rather than a second hand translation in German.

Okay, then let's call it a comic book then, no problem. Which is, in my eyes, even better when Peepo Choo has not already became a success in Japan. By the way Colonydrop really seems to be a decent site. Will you continue writing articles for them in the near future? And I would highly suggest you try to get the English version, as all the text is by Felipe Smith, rather than a second hand translation in German. I see what I can do on that.
