Legendary Maiden Nakoruru

This is a doujinshi manga series I've been working on since 2005,
based from the character from Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown/Spirits game series, the story itself is more like a spin-off than a sequel taking place after the events of the whole Samurai Shodown/Spirits storyline and sets in modern timeline.

Here's the basic plot(originally from the narration of the first volume of the 2nd chapter of the manga):

Modern day, Japan.
Over two centuries have passed
since the demise of Yuga the destroyer.
Humanity faces a long time of
sustained peace.

However in this era, a clandestine group
has emerge and surely will become
the threat to the mankind.
This new face of evil is the Madara Clan,
led by Zudah, Naga, and Seora,
these three were actually a humans
in their previous life and reborn as
a demons by Yuga's dark
curse as inherited by their
ancestors.
Sensing its disturbing presence,
Nakoruru was brought back to
life in the human world
by Kamui to face this new
threat.

A new adventure begins for Nakoruru,
the legendary maiden.......

-Ninja Gaiden/Ryukenden trilogy for NES/Famicom
-Valis series

For the design, here's my influences:
-Keita Amemiya films(Mirai Ninja, Zeiram, Garo, etc.)
-Castlevania/Akumajou Dracula series
-M.D. Geist(mainly the Spirit Masters and the new costume for Galford, another character from Samurai Shodown/Spirits series)

The idea of yours sounds interesting Took me five years during the planning process to release the first volume.
Actually, the whole story concept are still in process or when I already released the earlier volumes(like what will be the name of the group of villains and it's true intentions, etc. some additional characters and their bios/infos, etc.) so as a result, there are some few plot holes between the volumes I made.

Say did you make your avatar all by yourself, shinobi? Looks much like your way of drawing.
BUT I have to make just one marginal note: Where are Geist´s knuckles/prickles on top of his helmet?

Everyone said that my style has an influence from 80s and 90s manga/anime. Well I must say it's true since I grew more on them than today's standards.
