I've been heavily overdue on watching this one, as I am with a lot of Korean movies, 'wow', is what I have to say.
Just about every frame in this movie is dripping with gorgeous details, it's been directed so amazingly well. Brutally unforgiving with near-labyrinthe characters, and a revelation that is like a punch to the stomach, this one is a must.
I'm quite interested in seeing just what the manga it is semi-based off of is like though.

I only saw Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance so far, and that was with really shitty subtitles.
But it was good, I really wanna see Oldboy.

I'd like to see The Host, I thought Speed Racer was fantastic, they couldn't have adapted it better really.

"The Host" was broadcast in Germany yesterday and I watched the whole movie. It had some nice ideas like many references to the war in Afghanistan and the bird flu - but it was also very lame. Especially in the middle. The biggest aesthetical problem of the movie was the CG monster: At some scenes it looked great animated, at some other scenes it was done like it belonged to some very badly made American B-movie from the 90s.

I really liked the para-apartheid in D9, but then again, I never find symbolic plots like that a problem.
