Would you watch it? And yes I did say trilogy. I know it's not official but the comic Ground Zero is pretty damn awesome so to me it's the MD Geist trilogy. Not only does it have the sheer badassery of the movies but it also helps to tighten up the plot. Now don't get the wrong idea. I love MD Geist. But at the same time I think there's always room for improvement. Storywise, I thinking making a Ground Zero movie will help to establish Geist as a character. I also think it would be great to have some extra back story on Vaiya as she got to be one of the most tragically underwritten characters ever in anime. Also while I think the animation for Geist was good for it's time and sometimes it's even better than stuff now. I think it could be better. And seriously would it not be amazing to see Geist kicking ass with top of the line animation. I think it would be. I see a trilogy going as follows 1st movie: MD Geist: Ground Zero 2nd movie MD Geist: Most Dangerous Soldier 3rd Movie MD Geist: Death Force Yes it's wishful thinking. But who cares. Geist rules.

I for one would kill for an MD Geist trilogy reboot with the two OVAs and Ground Zero as either a 13-episode anime OVA series with more story to balance out the carnage, or as a 2-plus-hour-long anime film. I would also love to see the animation done by either Madhouse or Studio 4 Degrees Celsius. And yeah, I agree with you on Vaiya. However, despite how underwritten she was, I think her character was portrayed as Koichi Ohata and Riku Sanjo intended: as a damn-near heartless, opportunistic leech that carelessly shacks up with whatever powerful man that can make her feel safe just to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic world. I dislike her as a character, but I can't help but to feel sorry for her. She had to suffer from not one, but two post-apocalyptic nightmares (the aftermath of the Regular Army/Nexrum wars and her "ex-boyfriend" Geist unleashing a legion of killer robots onto the planet).

A Blu-ray release of MD Geist would be sweet.

I just had the most awesome idea ever.
4 movies.
You heard that right. That's FOUR of the Most Dangerous films EVER!
Why four you ask?
Because of the four "Programs" used by the Jerran Military Complex.
The four movies will each represent one of the programs
1st movie---MD Geist Program A: Aggression
This will actually be set BEFORE Ground Zero. This will have less to do with Geist and more to do with how the war even started. It would be interesting to make Colonel Krutes the main character here and show how he became a well respected Colonel in the battle against the Nexrum Rebellion and his journey into discovering the corruption and madness of the Jerran Military Complex. Geist will basically be a teaser in this film. He will be portrayed as Jerra's last hope against a formidable foe but also a glimpse into Jerra's self destructive thirst for victory. This film will introduce Lt. Wong who will become largely affected by the brutality of the war. Colonel Krutes will be somewhat of a tragic hero.
2nd movie---MD Geist Program B: Burnout
This will be the Ground Zero movie. Basically it will all be the same as the comic. Perhaps a few more battles between Jerra and Nexrum. Geist will be portrayed heavily here. This film shows Lt. Wong's fall to villainy.
3rd movie--MD Geist Program C: Catastrophe
The First MD Geist film plus the nuclear war that made Jerra into a barren wasteland. Vaiya will be the main character as we see her struggle to survive in such a world. The audience should sympathize with Vaiya's struggle and her seeing Geist as a savior figure will become more understandable. Geist is of course no savior and Vaiya is ultimately betrayed.
4th movie--MD Geist Final Program D: Death Force
Basically pure epicness at this point. This is the Second MD Geist film: death force. Krauser will be the big focus here.
I don't know exactly when everything will happen but I believe that there was a lot in the movies and comic that could definitely be explored further and would actually be quite interesting. I don't think it is necessary that Geist HAS to be the main character or even shown that much. But he will be a huge influence in the story. Basically he's like the terminator. Actually come to think of it the stories are very similar. Geist though has a bit more mystery to it and psychology.
These will be the most epic anime movies ever.
