The Japanese VHS release of M.D. Geist 2 was virtually the same pic, except it featured Vaiya on it as a damsel in distress and had some Death Force units in the background.

To make dumb people buy the product, judging by the cover. You see a fucked up Michael Dudikoff with enhanced muscles and an M60 chain attached to his battle rifle in the 'Platoon Leader' cover, although nothing of this is actually in the movie, BUT it sold very good. You can take dozens of Italian exploitation movie covers as other examples too. lol
