After seeing this review, I'm a bit more tempted to pick this game up, but only once it's gone down in price quite significantly I think (mainly because I don't have the cash to blow at the minute, especially on games). Doesn't sound like a perfect game but eh, I can enjoy Quantum Theory for hours.

C'mon, I have played it and I can assure it's not 'that' bad. What sucks is that in comparison to Duke Nukem 3D you're not able to carry more than two guns anymore. -__-

I expected longer shooting scenes. They're too intermitent for a Duke Nukem game. All in all, the game was made for old-school fans; if you don't have that nostalgia in you, you won't enjoy it too much.

Thing is, that was nothing more than a series of scripted events, and reading the development of DNF reveals that the game effectively bandwagon'd in an attempt to stay ahead of the competition. It seems that creatively, the original designers were cornered.

Yeah, it is. I grew up with Duke Nukem 3D and I really had fun playing DNF the past days. But as the guy said: People, who grow up with all these scripted tactic shooters, CoD: MW and all these, will not have the same fun like guys who grew up with 90's shooters.  |
