WE ALL MAY BE GLAD THAT THERE WEREN'T SO MANY GODFREY HO-STYLED ANIME MOVIES. And yesh: Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus are the pure definition of salesman. --- Excuse me for my shown feelings, but now on to the serious business. Did Cannon also use other music at all or really the ones that were on the reel? It's quite interesting to know, because this would add to your conclusion about this 'movie' to be just an enormous hole of continuity errors.

Despite Cannon often reusing film scores in other films, for example Jay Chattaway's score for Invasion U.S.A. being used in Assassination and Death Wish 4, Robotech: The Movie only uses soundtrack made specifically from either the original series or score created for both the movie specifically and for the unfinished Robotech II: The Sentinels. All of the reused footage from Southern Cross along with the Megazone footage were dubbed over with this music.
