Ruggero blood-sucking-son-of-a-bitch Deodato finally announced a new version of his cult classic movie that was banned GB for being one of the nastiest movies ever made - thanks to the BBFC. During 26th-28th May Deodato and several other Italian directors, also Franco Nero among them, are will be at the Cine Excess Festival 2011 IN LONDON, MOTHERFUCKERS!! Deodato is going to tell something about his masterpiece right there; maybe it is going to be a version only cut for the BBFC. |

Well what's great about this release is that the UK Blu Ray of the movie when it comes out in September comes in two versions: 1. The new edit by Deodato which removed the animal cruelty and I believe adds a few extra things (this version is the one that is going to be screened in London) 2. The BBFC approved edit which is now only edited by 16 seconds (the muskrat scene is the only one to be cut, replaced by alternative footage) I would love to see the London screening, but it's before my last day of college so I highly doubt I'd find the time to see it.  |

I would also love to be there, not only for the sake of Deodato, but to see Django himself.  Well, let's see what is up with this new version and I might be interested in an import Blu-Ray (cuz the movie is still banned in Germanialand). |

I'd be more happier if Deodato had found a normal producer and directed the planned sequel Cannibals.

Because from what I know is that Deodato was put in jail after C.H. came out and poeple believed it was an actual snuff movie. So he had thoughts on a sequel even when he faced life sentence? lawl Just now I actually just snagged a new US DVD of the movie for 6 quid. Nice You talented basterd!  |
