I've known for a while that the backgrounds for the screencaps on Roots Search promotional stuff aren't the same as the ones from the actual anime. But I was watching MD Geist and noticed this...   You know you're in trouble if you actually have to steal from something like MD Geist. ;D |

I noticed this myself in my own concept art book, and actually, I wouldn't say it does; both Geist and Roots Search were made under the same studio at about the same time. These are production stills of cels on placeholder backgrounds essentially, so anything vague would have done. Just clearing that up.

Yeah, I suspected they were done by the same studio. Though I still think using the same backgrounds for Roots Search stuff is lazy as hell.  |

You'll notice for a lot of M.D. Geist production stills, they use backgrounds from what probably were other animations too. For example, there's a still of the Brain Palace robots against a sky background as opposed to the actual Brain Palace interior.

Huh, didn't know that, I wonder why they do that.  OFF/T Apparently Roots Search got a Korean release along with the English-subbed release and the elusive Spanish-dubbed release. Why?  |
