Interesting fact about the current anime industry

It seems it takes only about six months since its publication for a 08/15 (and I mean really nothing special!) moe manga to be adapted into an entire anime series (Jan 24, 2011 JST):

The animation studios really are that desperate, not to risk anything with something new. They will continue throwing that trash at us, because the dumb majority apparently really likes this kinda stuff.
But in the end it is very interesting to see how their socalled "machinery of angst" works.

It's quite the opposite. The anime industry is shrinking in Japan for the simple reason that the majority has rejected all of the otaku-bait shows getting produced, and the pandering garbage that gets produced is losing more and more of the basement dwelling crowd that buy it every year because they're tired of spending money on it.

I just don't want shit that's embarrassing to look at. However, I've heard Level E (I think it's called that), has been getting great praise and it contains no moe elements at all, may watch it at some point.
