Considering my last written review was Odin this seems very fitting.
While this is definetly not going to be my next article; I am planning it as my first ongoing retrospective for the site. I have recently acquired a good chunk of the original shows as well as all of the films.
As most of you will know, Yamato was pretty much the space opera that began the long line of sci-fi anime now that we often relate to like Gundam and Macross; while it is a product of its time I believe it deserves more attention and I thought I would present my views on the franchise.
The way the articles will be planned will be in a vaguely chronological manner according to the franchises story arc:
Article 1: Quest For Iscandar/The Movie
2: The Comet Empire/ Farewell To Space Battleship Yamato
3: The New Voyage
4: Be Forever Yamato
5:The Bolar Wars
6: Final Yamato
I might also cover Yamato 2520 as well as Resurrection. This will be daunting I know, but I thought once my January exams are over this will be a good ongoing subject for the site.
