Might as well. ;D fokkusu1991.deviantart.com/Mostly sci-fi, but with a touch of horror and steampunk now and then. I'm constantly attempting to improve myself and I never delete anything, thus explaining why the crappy stuff there from a year or more ago is mixed in with the good recent pieces. XD

Already know your big BIG gallery from your link posted at YT. It's very nice to see that you are really improving your self-made art style with each new work - something that does not fit really to too many users there at dA. (By the way I used to be active on dA too, but then I decided to delete my second account (I still have another one active there without any works). I'll explain why I did this later, if you want me to.)

Yeah, I know what you mean about that... dA is, for the most part, a cesspool of poorly-drawn fanart, emo poetry, and Sonic recolors. Yes, most of us have been there in our preteen years, even me (minus the Sonic crap); but the difference is that serious artists and cartoonists grow out of it and try to improve their work. Sadly, I just haven't seen that happen very often. You don't have to explain anything if you don't want to, but I'd listen if you did want to.

In my humble opinion about dA itself is that 95% of all users just post so called "works", that are often nothing but either meaningless taken pictures, badly drawn animu pictures (mostly about skinny [emo] guys with long hair, bright flowers or darkness and that shit; Bleach, Pokemon or Death Note related) or either recolored Sonic bullshit. Another example is the amount of erotic. Ever noticed that there are users that post picture of them being naked and claim that this is art, but without giving a real intention within the picture? And mostly incredible shitty "works" that get about 1800 views in less than eight hours, peppered with dumb and uncreative criticism/comments like "Awesome!", "Love it!!11!!1!" or "You rock!". Real artists like cartoonists, comic artists or serious painters drown in the pool of these massive amounts of self-proclaimed artist, that are just 14 years old and started "working" just a couple of days ago. Serious works will never get their deserved recognition if such a situation goes on. I remember a couple of weeks ago a thread on 4chan I opened. We we were having an exact talk about the predicament on dA. There was an artist (sadly, I forgot his name, but I'm not bullshitting you), who studied art and used to post some of his works in a regular habitus. And his works were brilliant, I saw them myself. But the thing is: He never got a comment or more than 10 views. So this was a progress, which turns out to be completely in vain; "Everything was for the cat." we use to say in proper German. But then he had a great idea about widening the true behavior of most dA users: He created a new account and posted a picture of his girlfriend licking a guitar. Guess what happened then. He received over 300 comments in just in two hours, with mostly guys writing stuff like "Wow, you look so hot!!!" or "Can we be friends??".
And in the end this is also because why I'm not active in that hellhole of dA anymore. In the future perhaps I'll create an own website where I post my stuff, yeaaaah!

Funny thing, I very rarely see crappy work on DA. But then most of stuff that I see is from other people's favourites and these people are usually hard working artists, so they usually have good taste.
Personally, I dislike DA because how aggressive it got with ads, which is especially annoying when one pays for a subscription. I wish I could draw good enough to be able to show my stuff on Red Bubble as it's ad-free.

Random 80's-style space woman with her robot. I drew the woman in the waiting room at a doctor's office while waiting for my sister, and the robot separately in the car while my mom drove us around. So the robot looks a little messier. I'll probably end up coloring this.

I like how you always try to draw another kind of nose; I should also mention that your more realistic looking noses look better than these triangular noses most draw. By the way I also drew something - but last night at 3 o'clock.

Excellent. It has even some of the feeling/atmosphere of The Adventures Of The Galaxy Rangers; a great SciFi-Western anime from the 1980s.

Late-night-boredom-fanart sketch that I actually kinda like... Yes, I stole the melty-face idea from Lily-CAT. It was too cool and gruesome (groolsome?) not to try on a humanoid robot.

Expression drawings of Cirus. He's always fun to draw. Just did this out of boredom. Boredom a la mode, Rob. Now say it backwards.

Is Cirus from Skydolls? If so, it makes total sense. All his expressions are rape faces. I literally lol'd when I read that. XD No, he's from a virtually unknown project by the name of Perfection NEO that a cartoonist I know came up with (Andrew Dickman). It's a very dark story, and Cirus actually does happen to be a rapist/murderer. (Murderist?) Not quite sure how a robot can rape humans though. But I'd rather not get into that.

Yeah, if I recall correctly Cirus's "hobby" is talked about a little in the story, but never actually witnessed. Not that we would even want to witness it. His serial-killing is more the focus of the particular part of the story he's in, but it's still obvious that he's a mega-perv. Kinda wish he wasn't killed in the first storyline, even though in the story setup it's obvious to all but Flat-Earth Atheists (see TVTropes) that robots have spirits. Had he lived, he could have had his ass whooped by the goth female robot Darkchild (who was not in the same storyline). XD
