Personally with me as I have stated before, as much as I do adore the fabled classics of old I would rather try and branch out towards newer releases when I can. Although I do wish more old licenses and shows could be rescued from obscurity, I am sure there is a decent amount of new stuff out there that is worth watching; I'd say to you guys to make up your own mind and at least try and experiment with a few different genres. It's easy to get hung up on nostalgia (as I do a lot of the time) but really I think at the moment the whole 'all new animation is bad' bandwagon is becoming quite over-exaggerated.
Just do your research and maybe you might find something new that fits your taste, hell I'm about to give Highlander: The Search For Vengeance a go for instance.

CouldnĀ“t agree more with that. Not all animes from the past five years are pure shit, indeed. But not all are perfect anyway.

Heard a lot about Redline, with a lot of naysayers picking on its story for some reason, either way I'm waiting for when it comes out in Europe if ever, I want to pick it up on BluRay.

After carefully examining the commentary on colonydrop I really want to give Redline a try. Everything written there talks straight to an audience like us! And I wish Redline turns out to be a beautiful art movie, and trip itself, like the original Heavy Metal.

The artstyle reminds me of Peacock King: Spirit Warriors/Shin Kujaku Ou OVA which is one of the most detailed animated art I've ever seen.
