Surprised I never put this board up in the first place. Same as the others.

My latest purchase was about a month ago. Yep, Super Robot Wars K. It's got Steel God Jeeg, Dangaioh, Gun X Sword, Fafner, King Gainer, Virtual-On MARZ, and (unfortunately) Gundam SEED.
What I love is how Van is practically a GOD! Almost all his attacks void force fields and has skills that inflict grieving damage against any enemy. The SEED MSs are also godly, but I don't give too much recognition to them. I learned about Fafner from this game, though it might as well be called Evangelion SEED. As for Dangaioh, very time Gil-Berg uses his mecha's plasma cannon, I can never get that "Bye bye, fuckers!" line out of my head.

There're games here. They're pretty good, PGR4 isn't the type of racer I like, in the end, doesn't handle arcade enough for my tastes, but my little bro likes it. Bionic Commando is kinda shitty, but I'll live. Playing through it fun enough.

Sweet. I sometimes wish I had a 360, but then I remember what happened to my cousin (though this was before the recall). What's Bio-Mega about? Looks like a real piece of cyberpunk right there, and high-quality at that.

Totally cyberpunk, which is why it appeals to me so much. Not to mention, Tsutomu Nihei is super; I've been meaning to pick up his work Abara, but its only available in French, so I'm working on getting better with that first.
I don't really know the plot too well, nothing much is explained in the first two (of six) volumes. There's this guy, Zoichi Kanoe and his battle AI Fuyu Kanoe (who exists through his motorcycle, and his helmet) and they enter this big-ass locked down city looking for some girl who is a Mediator (I think that's the term they use) for the N5S Virus (or N5SV). This means that while she has the virus she keeps her consciousness and self-awareness and doesn't mutate. Apparently this makes her immortal, I guess since the virus normally makes you a zombie it makes some sense.
So here you've got this gigantic cyberpunk world, with a zombie apocalypse on the countdown. There's some dead astronaut in the lower atmosphere with the virus, so it becomes a countdown before his spores spread everywhere.
There's also a talking bear, and a lot of really really cool land/city scape shots, of the totally wrecked wasteland.
It moves FAST too, unbelievably so. Next volume comes out in August, I've got it preordered.

Sounds awesome. My only jive is why does it have to be a virus and why zombies? I think the 28 Days Later concept ruined zombies for everyone. All that aside, the mangaka is a genius.
This reminds me of a time in my life I kinda regret. I was on vacation in Puerto Rico two years ago and found the Shin Megami Tensei mangas in a Borders. However, my mom wouldn't let me get them. On that trip, we pissed a lot of money away on candy.

I dunno, the virus is used for a lot of plot points. Isn't anything worth complaining about here, personally.

Recently I picked up for less than £10 for both of them: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Coded Arms: Contagion for the PSP. Both damn good games, the PSP I tend to find easy to collect for because most of the games are usually dirt cheap.

I got my copy of The King of Fighters 2002/2003 for the PS2 just a couple days ago in the mail, and I have to say, I'm really happy I got them. Both games look beautiful in action, especially with some of the backgrounds redone in 3D graphics. Makes me glad to be a KOF fan.
I would love to get The King of Fighters 00/01 at some point too to further add to my collection of KOF games.

Other than that I have the entire saga available for me.

Speaking of King of Fighters, for 2 quid I got King of Fighters: Maximum Impact. It's a bit rubbish, but I think it works as a guilty pleasure; however I have heard the sequel is a bit better.
Apart from that for only 4 quid I got the Quantum of Solace game for PS3. A movie tie-in game thats better than the movie in my opinion; certainly not the best shooter ever but the mutiplayer in particular is surprisingly addictive. Bond games always seem to have great multiplayer; oddly I have heard that the PS2 version is a better game so I might pick that up down the line.

Yeah, KOF2006 is way better. Not great, but certainly a lot of fun!

Bit of an RPG binge recently, for the PS3 I snagged both Final Fantasy XIII and Nier for thirty quid new for both of them. But I was extra chuffed to get the original Final Fantasy on PSP for only a ten quid.
