Played too many to make a decisive list, but I can say Soul Reaver, Persona 3 FES, Dead Rising, Vanquish, Gurumin, Skullmonkeys, Einhander, God Hand and Battle Arena Toshinden 1 are some damn good games in my eyes.

Like VE, there are too many for me to list. However, here are a few off the top of my head:
-Sonic the Hedgehog CD (Sega CD version) -EarthBound -Metal Gear Solid -Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike (Sega Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 versions) -Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (especially the Japanese Sega Saturn version) -Castlevania: Lament of Innocence -Crash Bandicoot -Terminator 2: The Arcade Game (Sega Genesis version) -Mortal Kombat (Sega Genesis version) -Mortal Kombat 2 (Sega Genesis and Super NES versions) -X-Men: Children of the Atom -Marvel Super Heroes -R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 -Night Slashers -U.N. Squadron -Super Mario Bros. 3
Is this enough?

I only listed my ABSOLUTE favorite games in the first post. I have a much longer list of games that I like.

It's incredibly hard for me to create a definitive list of favourite games; if I was to do one I would actually have two seperate lists. One for retro games (up to Dreamcast) and one for modern games.

Armored Brigade Sean O'Connor's Firefight Fallout 1 Syndicate Operation Flashpoint Transport Tycoon Deluxe Gunship Laser Squad Wasteland X-Com 1 & 2 Raptor: Call of the Shadows. if I was to do one I would actually have two seperate lists. One for retro games (up to Dreamcast) and one for modern games. Why?

Why? Simple. I would nto be able to decide which retro or modern games would belong on the same list, I enjoy too many games for there to be just one definitive list.
Same thing with films, I'd have one list for live-action films and another for animated. That's just how I work.

What is the difference between "retro" and "modern" games?

Your joking right? I have video games featured in two seperate camps; one to represent the best of bygone ages and the other to represent what is great now.

To me, the bygone ages have never ended and are an important part of what is great now .

Fair enough, either way I might try and pull a rough couple of lists together for the thread.

Its gotta be the legendary Ocarina of Time, bursting at the seam's with features when it came out way back in '98, it changed RPG's forever.
