I love the fact that a toy/anime company like Bandai can theoretically buy out a politician. Imagine if Sega did that to David Cameron. ARS suits for everyone!

Ishihara doesn't seem to exactly have all that much power (I could do with actually researching him) but yes, Bandai can apparently buy him out, because Bandai are huge.

And I automatically do not need to like that Hatsune Miku or whatever these mindless otakus call that program.

Well, a few things... The man heading this bill, Ishihara, is a bit of an old fool; homphobic and sexist. Also, this bill may potentially terminate all studioes who are not Sunrise and Toei, so that's the likes of Gainax and all other similar. Gainax? Now, I see. It sounds like he Hates Freedom .
