I imagine him being a big, big, big pantsu. www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/10/29/strike-witches-movie-announced/But never forget how desperate the anime industry is these days. Nowadays they even create a 13 episodes series out of a single manga that came out about two years ago. Of course it is pretty sad, thou. Especially in the case of Strike Witches......

Japan is just as bad as Hollywood now, with its current attitude on creating things easily marketable and making them culturually insignificant (possibly true of many of their things to be like, just like in many other countries, but really, I'm still complaining about how this is fantasy nerd material that's just embarrassing), they still need this turnaround before things get really bad, frankly I'd be embarrassed if I was Japanese.

What's the deal with the Japanese and their loli stuff? Repressed hate toward reverse gender roles, so worn-out businessmen hate their wives and their lack of enjoyment in real life and invest into a drawing.

Why would they prefer to draw primary school girls, though?

Because you can't film kids being fucked.

So, they see primary school girls as more feminine than their wives because of reversed gender roles?

To be honest I don't know, feel free to explore the issue yourself, but for me it boils down no further than how some guys have a kink for little girls in 2D form because they've had enough of dealing with other women.

Better response:
"It's because until more recently the age of sexual consent in japan was much lower. As a nation japan is very publically sexually repressed because of the idea of public display of affection being so indecent, whereas their laws on the sex trade are actually particularly liberal, meaning all manner of prostitution and perversions are legal. Japan's secretly obsessed with sex. In addition to this they have a sort of national peter pan syndrome.
Life becomes a great burden very fast in japan, people are basically only allowed to enjoy themselves in their childhood, before being hurried along to becomes salarymen and slaves to their overbearing housewives. It's like people in japan are grown into robots and socio-economic slavery from birth.
For this reason it has the highest teenage suicide rate in the world, but it also gives them an obsession with the purity and innocence of being young.
Otaku, while over here may be a sort of idealised 'anime nerd' definition, in japan it means a fraction of the population who have basically rejected their capitalist nightmare as wrong. They reject their destiny. Often becoming 'hikkikomori' or agoraphobes who refuse to leave the sanctity of their bedroom because the believe the outside world is out to get them.
What happens is that these people become obsessed with the idealistic childhood displayed in cartoons, and often this is turned up to 11 by the industry straight up marketing Moe shows to this demographic, because otaku will obsessively buy anything related to their favourite anime. "

They probably do it while travelling in their crowded public transport. Better response: "It's because until more recently the age of sexual consent in japan was much lower.
